Walking among gigantic cactuses

 On the road today to National Saguro park East to hike among the cactuses. First we stopped at the visitor center to get more details. Learned a lot about how cactuses grow, under a tree for protection, very slowly for many many years. One of the cactuses in front of the visitor center was planted 106 years ago.

We took the winning road to a picnic area where we ate then walked in the desert under the hot, very hot sun. Took many pictures as you see below.

Some weather rumbling in the valley.

Good example here how cactuses started very close to the base of a tree. 

Some cactuses such as this one bend toward the south. They were the only one with some flowers that day.
