Balloons Fiesta 2022- 50 years anniversary

 Arrived Albuquerque Thursday. Day trip to Jamez Mountain where we hiked. Then Saturday woke up 2AM, 3AM (well worth it) drove to take the Shuttle to the Fiesta. Surprised to be so alert at such an early hour. 

It is so difficult to choose pictures to share the amazing morning among 650 Montgolfiers rising in a calm and perfectly blue sky. The best weather we could have hoped for. 

                                          The morning started slowly with the  Krispy Kreme Morning Glow 

                                               Then it was the  Display of aerial drone lights

The balloons rise kept going on and on for almost 3 hours. We were right in the middle of them. The organization was extremely well planned and scheduled. 

As you can see behind Mary, Lou and Tim we could observe and talk to the balloon participants right next to us. There was a system for each balloon to inflate and send them off safely. 

Note: just left Albuquerque this morning. Posting while driving through more beautiful red deserted landscape. Next stop: Holbrook Arizona where we will drive through Petrified Forest tomorrow. So stay tuned, write some comment or not and come back for more adventures.
