So" Here we are" as Tim likes to say. And what does that mean? Where are we?
Today is our 3rd day on the road to our first big stop: KY. The goal: visit our grand children for a week then meet our partners in..crime, no in enjoyment: Mary and Lou and later, Nancy and Tom.( We met both couples in FL).
During our trip we want to discover landscapes; fine and visit landmarks along the route we chose to follow. We are not searching for a new world on horses backs; we are not even stepping in the footprints of the colony adventurers. Our goal is to see as much as possible of this huge country. There is so much beauty.

Below: our first stop, beautiful (but somewhat noisy) campground Arrowhead NY on the Mohawk river - part of Erie Canal which flows to the Hudson river that we crossed earlier during the day.
That's what we enjoy: learn the geography, history and culture of the different areas we drive through.

Glad that everything is going well so far and the hardest part is over (preparing to leave). Between still working at the campground and preparing to leave we are exhausted but excited and it will all be worth it. See you soon.
